Seeking THAT's 2180 (A)
After some THAT's 2180 (A) class 8 pin DIP VCA's. If anyone has any available - please PM or e-mail: tonymite@hotmail.com with amount available and prices.

hiya tonymite. i'll drop in on this topic.
i actually got some VCA's as a free sample from THAT in the UK.
you need them for a G-SSL mixbus clone, i presume? i can give you three, if you'd like.
but otherwise, try THAT Corp again, because they were so apologetic they'd not returned my email queries that they gave me four of each 2180 - A's B's and C's. that's an easy (and cheap) way to score some . . .

FWIW, I'm building the clone (my 2nd) using Burr Brown op amps in the signal path instead of the bog standard 5532s and 5534s. I've also swapped in some BBs on my Paia MS mic, with chalk and cheese improvements in noise, response, you name it. I'll see how they sit in the G4000 and how it compares to my current clone (which works just fine and seems to be very quiet).
