Hire of API2500 or SSL type comp wanted this Sunday

Postby Chris H » Wed Apr 28, 2010 5:06 pm

Im looking to hire a stereo bus comp for a job Sunday this weekend in Melbourne's south East. Would love a thermionic phoenix with the side chain but prolly won't find one. Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

Yes, gave them a call yesterday. They have the Al Smart C1 and the Thermionic Phoenix. I have not worked with either box and so I'm not sure which way to go re the "glue factor but i'm thinking the Phoenix might be the better option re versatility and options. I'm mastering 10 songs and other comp i will use is the Avalon 747. I might use the pair of optro modules but they might be a bit too colored for what i'm after with these recordings. Sing sing involves a drive on Sunday morning from Ferntree Gully before heading out to the studio out the back of Frankston.

Sorry but i still don't understand what you're getting at in your first post. I don't have a price of an API for hire. Sing Sing doesn't have one nor does any one else i know. If your mate is considering hiring it that's cool but I have booked the phoenix at sing sing for Sunday.
Thanks anyway.
