hey Guys,
i'm up for my next lot of mic pres - just wondering if anyone can comment on api style lunchboxes?
i tend to see heaps the 500 series stuff sold -
are their any problems with 'crosstalk' and inteference ect? (with modules being so close together)
i like the idea of just buying a lunchbox rack and diy'ing a few pres and not having to worry about metalwork and powersupply building...

not going to have any issues with cross talk, absolutely not
i have used an api 6 space and a brent averill 11 space, both pretty much exactly the same as far as the spec goes (check VPR alliance)
plenty of diy for 500 series, just check the front page of The Lab!
there is also the groupdiy 51x alliance, which is compatible with the api (VPR) standard, but offers a few more options, and is totally diy
500 series is pretty sweet!

Lunchbox style format is pretty good - compact and lots of variety, portable.
I have Purple and API modules in my lunchbox.
Definitely worth checking out - there's lots to choose from also..
