I'm bored. Have been for around the last two days. Rain. Cold. Yuck.

So decided to read this forum from back to front. And i'm loving it.

I'm up to page 21, i do believe that i may not ever have to ask another question this year.

I'm sure there will be some happy response to that last comment. :0

Now i need to find a shed in wagga/dubbo/murrurundi/redfern with lots of stuff to pillage.

Rick i really think you need to make a classic post section, there is some comic gold lurking in the early posts.

dude, you should've seen the original "phorum" (sadly not transferred to this 'newer' one)! think it started around 2003?

and yes.... liberal use of the SEARCH function should - in theory at least - mean that we never ever have to have another mac v pc/i hate protools/should i lie awake at night worrying about jitter? sort of discussion!

Hey I gave that a shot! Kinda. Clicked on page 32 and Bam "Mid Side Compression". What a revelation! Did some googling after that and discovered my IK Multimedia Fairchild 670 plugin had a feature like that to compress the sides separate from the centre. Also found a good tutorial on how to create the routing manually within any DAW. Fascinating technique!

Found a gem in a single stab in the dark!

Here is that Link:

Let me know how you go. Haven't actually done this one yet. But I like it as I could eq the mid and sides independently or use different compressors etc etc. When I get some free time I'll give it a go. (just been experimenting with the IK 670)
