Mic suspension mount elastic
Hi all, I have a Neumann M147 that I want to sell, it has a Neumann suspension mount with it, and one of the elastics is frayed, I would like to replace it before I put the mic up on ebay. Does anyone know where I might look for one?

Re: Mic suspension mount elastic
if your looking for neumann perzac replacement then you got to go to syntec i am afraid
they are not cheap :(
maybe you want to sell the mic to me with a discount for the frayed rubber..?
i am looking for some m 147s but the timing is not great for obvious reasons
but looking at your post number maybe your just messing with me ( 666)

Re: Mic suspension mount elastic
I did notice the 666... Not sure what M147's are worth these days, the RRP is crazy, I was hoping to get at least 2200 for it on ebay - It is in the Neumann hard case with the PSU, cable, manual and basic stand mount, as well as the suspension mount, there is a space for the suspension mount inside the case even though it is an optional extra.
Really like this mic because it is kind of dark sounding, it's so hard to find a condenser to record hard, bright female vocals, but I don't get to record much these days, so I am being realistic and selling my outboard gear, the 1176 and Vocal Stresser will be on the block soon... Cant bring myself to part with my pair of Milab's though, I have never heard a better pair of mics to record a grand piano.

Re: Mic suspension mount elastic
I was thinking around that price as the suspension mount costs over $300.00, but, if you want to make an offer.....

Re: Mic suspension mount elastic
i've made many a replacement suspension elastic. I have some thick black braided elasticy stuff here...like thick hat elastic. It is a bit a craft session joining it into a loop, but you'll find this stuff in good rubber stores

Hey Ben, that would be great. Can you PM your email address and an amount and I will Paypal you some funds? Also, are you able to source and install a new suspension foam kit into an RE-20?

Hi Ben
I have a susmount that needs some new elastic. It's being held together atm with those thick red elastic bands. Oor yeah.
Bout time I did something about it. Could I grab some from you aswell?
I need only enough for the one suspension mount.
Could you pm me (as above) with payment details.
cheers
Ben
