I have seen this stuff often. Always from China. Always sellers with no feedback, or minial (and badly faked). I have seen auctions that are copy and paste facisimiles of legit auctions that only finished a few days ago.
Normally they actually picture the right object though...

I'm gonna post this guys link on the Gearslutz forum, I dunno if anyone has noticed or if many people here visit the gs forum but , one particular thread on there a guy has been scamming a scammer and posting the entire storyline there, it is quite hilarious, I might see if any one is interested in giving this guy a go, we'll see.
I don't want to hijack this thread but check out the link below if you want a good laugh.

please delete if inappropriate for this site, but I have followed this thread and it is funny.

i have three pairs meyer of Hd-1 they cost abouts 11k a pair ... so 300 bucks sounds like a bargain to me.
i might buy them myself !
although mine dont look quite the same as those chinese ones, maybe these are the new ones
and i thought it was interesting that all my meyer gear has serial numbers but nothing like the numbers on that auction
maybe he made a simple mistake..?
err...
however i might steal the decription of the speakers for the website, it was actually pretty good, it must be a meyer blurb of some kind

I think he may have got the description and serial numbers from here...

I just thought it was funny, there were 3 pairs of HD-1's on all of Ebay, the guy copied and pasted the description - including the serial numbers - and still managed to grab the wrong image.
I was half tempted to place a bid, see what, if anything, would arrive in the mail, and then hit up E-Bays fraud protection policy.
But you didm't hear it from me, OK.
