Jacob seems pretty adamant about these on his boards for I/O as opposed to LL1540 or other line input tx due to impedance. Pultec's like to go low in that respect apparently. What's your call with I/O transformers?

Hey Ben,
i might be able to let go of some lundahls but they are LL1517.... similar but different..
how's the build going?
it doesn't seem very well documented like other projects....??
have been waiting for an updated verison of the project to come along... - bit frightened of the voltage thing.....
but going to enrol myself in the one day tafe course that certifies me to do 240v internal wiring (maybe a good thing from a personal safety + legal / insurnace perspective) and wire up all my exsisting projects.... then i think ill be ready for it..!
cheers....

To be honest Ben, I grabbed the line transformers I had, wired them for the right ratios and sucked it to see. (1:1 on in, 1:2 on out, I think?? from memory). I plugged it in... sounds good, I'm going to leave it at that!

Hey there Harry
Sorry, Just saw your post now.
Just getting things together for the build at the moment. I'm doing a set.
Should be finished before chrissy.
I appreciate the offer of the LL1517's but I'm following the pcb for the time being. In fact I'm thinking of making the trannies I/O on the pcb modular so I can swap different ones around. Ultimately I'd be using an input transformer on the input but I'm going with jakob's design first. I'd like to put a big UTC input tranny in to see what that does.
The build is not well documented and it seems the BOM is straight off the pcb.
I just blew a packet on the grandmaster audio front panels and added in a little more black to the colour blend for when pete does them. The front panels are a bit of a wank but.....oh well.
Let me know if you start yours. I may have some leftover components by then.
Cheers

I know the build doesn't seem that well documented but that's probably because of how simple it is. Just take care when wiring your power transformers in... Not much rocket surgery involved with this one!
