Wagner U47 (looks like we did it part 1) UPDATE

Postby musikwerks » Sat Oct 02, 2010 10:10 am

Hi all...

I'm thinking about putting my U47 up for sale. I haven't taken it out of it's case for a year now and to be honest I can't see myself doing any music gigs anymore. I need low hours/high dollar gigs and music doesn't really provide that. TV does, so I'm going to unload some musical stuff over the coming months.

But in regards to the U47... what is an appropriate price for it? Short Body, M7 capsule, S/N 78.

Well he doesnt make them anymore
there has been one on eBay USA for a month
it started at 12k it's been dropping every week it's at 10k now
no bites
3 Neumann 47 have sold for 7-8k in the last month
which is a sure sign the economy is bad o/s

So I dunno I would ring gunter and get him to
offer it to somebody on his waiting list if your
strapped for cash
or put it on eBay for 9k
and bid your time it will sell but there are too many
47 on the market at the moment to get max dollars for it

Ok. All of those prices listed are more than I paid originally.

Thanks.

It's not something I want to do. I just don't really have much of a choice right now. If it goes, it will be the very last thing I sell.

Reason being, I need a procedure called SIRT. Basically they inject radioactive particles directly into my liver and "cook" the tumours. It costs $5,000 and is not covered by medicare. If my surgeon can't secure a "donation" of this treatment for me (which he might well be able to do) then I will need to find the coin myself. Keeping the Wagner kind of pales into insignificance in comparison to the benefits of the treatment....ie, not dying.

Kris,

I'd like to pledge a $100 donation to your cause. I know I don't know you personally but I feel like I do thanks to the T'rock forum. If others here can dig into their pockets to help you raise the money, maybe you could keep your prized Wagner.

C'mon guys, a T'rocker needs our help....!!!

Cheers

Great work Guys.

Rick, can you move this to the main forum with a new topic regarding this fundraising. It may help get to the magic $5000.

Cheers

You guys are just plain lovely. :x

I already eat weetbix for dinner 3 nights a week, but count me in for a pineapple at bare minimum. I'm
sure there are extra meals I eat without actually needing too.

Kris,

If you could post your Banking details, or, PM them to each of us, we could transfer you the money directly.

Also, I'm delivering a speech to the Liverpool Rotary Club next Tuesday about the music industry. If you shoot me over a few details about yourself and your required treatment, I'll see if I can extract any donations from them. I'll play them your video after they've had a few beers. That oughta do it.

Take care

i'm in for $100 too
lets leave the post where it is i reckon

no point making overly public what is privately a great idea amonst the trockers
lets see how close we can get to the magic number that pays the guys that can shoot this crap out of of kris's innerds

i guess every bit will help so add your name if you can

kris pm me your bank details and i will pass them along to anybody that is interested

i have had a lot of offers to help pay for the forum over the years i always reject them
i am not going to reject any offers for this one

kris has been on this forum it as long as i can remember

its up to him what he does with mic
but lets see what we can do with this other problem

there is about $2000 on the board already in one day
not too much to go really

he is inspirational
and i love how you guys have fronted up
