Re: Wagner U47
ok just had a chat to kristian
he is having a chemo week so he is pretty crook and apoligises for being off the air in the last couple of days
he is so humbled by our efforts !
$2800 has hit their account and by my count $3600 has been promised so we still have a way to go
but he is on officially the list for the operation now and is hopeful it will happen sooner rather then later
keep it up i reckon guys this weekends beer money can do other things better for everybody given the chance

Re: Wagner U47
Hi guys. Just spoke to Rick and gave him an update.
I had chemo yesterday so I'm a bit fuzzy at the moment, but I wanted to say thank you for your generosity. You could pretty much knock me over with a feather at the moment. I just don't know what to say.
If you're interested, here's a link that describes the procedure I'm up for. It's relatively new which is probably why it's not Medicare approved yet. Government wheels turn slowly sometimes but we live in a very lucky country. I'd hate to be self employed and in this situation in the USA.

Again, thank you.

Just letting you know my donation hasn't gone through because I can't access my account from overseas as I need to receive an SMS to authorise a new account transaction. So STUPID. Never fear though I'll be depositing it the moment I return to aus mid next week. I've got the details so no problems there.
Godspeed the healing.

Only reason I did'nt look earlier is that I can't afford the U47, but I can afford a hundred bucks so Kris can keep it, send the details Rick I'm in for a hundred bucks later in the week.

Re: Wagner U47 (looks like we did it part 1)
I haven't visited here in some time, but I was catching up with tunetown over the weekend when he mentioned this thread.
I would also like to donate $100 towards Kris' treatment - instead of seeing Kris parting with a piece of history.
Funnily enough, I was in the US for meetings 2 weeks ago at Greater Baltimore Medical Centre (which is not far from the Greenebaum Cancer Centre in Maryland where they do SIRT) - I could have snuck home some of their magic for you Kris
Anyway, I hope your treatment goes well mate - fingers crossed.
Rick, please PM me details for DD transfer..

That's great Rick. Without your support of this forum this would never have been possible. I sincerely hope that this new treatment for Kris is successful.
I'm still speaking at Rotary tonight. Even though we have raised the money, I will still twist their arms to see what else I can extract.
Thanks everyone. This forum truly is the finest example of community anywhere on the net.

Whoo-hoo!!!
Great news, and a fine example of the human spirit in this sometimes not-so-fine world.
...and thanks to tunetown for starting it all off with his hundred, and for rick for keeping it rolling...
Good luck Kris, Rachel and kids!
