if it has been recapped properly your good to go for a long time yet , but there are recaps and recaps...
the question you should ask is "tell me which switches are broken and which knob caps are cracked or missing "
if he is a straight up guy that will get you your answer!
everything can be fixed it just takes time and money , thats the about the retail price for that desk with some minor issues i reckon
the advantage is it is in OZ and $250 gets you on a plane for a looksee
i thought you where busy getting divorced ?

Hi Rick,

Yes..getting divorced with a difference...not getting screwed !
I've always wanted something with the N word on it, but just not sure whether
a LFAC is still in Red Berry's future. Hey...just got my Slate VCC...thats a lot cheaper future ;-)

Cheers

LFAC
large format analog console ..? or is it
large friggin anchor chain.?

let me make it easy for you
although andy stewart has a bigger better version of this console at his place, that he loves , i talked him into and brings in the business making it a winner all round .
you dont want this console on evil bay , nor do you want the new custom shop neve .. in your case you want "the real deal" or you dont want it at all

persuasive arent I ..?

I'm personally hankering for an SSL E/G/B, but one that's cut down to 16 strips, no computer, screen or keyboard. The J & K would be *far* too expensive, and the new smaller ones don't have compressors everywhere.

Back when people were buying SSL's to combine into mega-consoles I might have had a chance, but these days I doubt it.

the abc has a few 24 chn no computer boards to get rid of over the next couple of years
put your money in the bank and bid your time i reckon - there are at least 3 being made redunant by current ssl matrix purchases
well two actually because one got sold at auction about 9 months ago but it is not reinstalled and doesnt have a absolute location to live in yet
so you have every chance of getting a baby ssl if your cashed up at the right time
i cannot see the point myself
