Acoustic underlay....suggestions??!!

Postby 13thbeach » Tue Dec 07, 2010 3:05 pm

Hi guys,
Just wanted to know if anyone can recommend a good acoustic underlay.
Pickstone guys are moving in upstairs and will be laying carpets next week.
Cheers,

Angel Step 484P if it's a timber floor or 48P if it's going onto a concrete floor.

Make sure you're sitting down when you get the quote. The 484P is around $48 per square metre + GST.

Expensive but effective for impact noise, dampening resonance in a floor and reducing general airborne transmission.

Supplier: Acoustica 1300 722 825 info@acoustica.com.au

If your problem is low frequency diaphragmatic movement of the floor, in simple terms the whole floor is acting like a giant speaker cone, then that requires a lot more structural work.

Good luck.

Just realised I'm suppose to put my name at the end of the post.

Sorry about that chief.
