I think these are the nuclear weapons worth supporting... not the kind they use on the pacific atoll.
I like the image of Kris wasting his cancer with nuclear weapons though...

hey.

Procedure went well. Doctor's are very happy with it.

I just feel really, really awful. I'm white as a sheet and have had non stop (big) stomach pain for 24 hours now. It's getting less but the painkillers do very little.

Vomiting, nausea etc... the usual suspects.

Liver is sore, as to be expected and groin is bruised from the insertion. I'm radioactive for a week. Can't sleep in the same bed as Rachel and can't hug the boys.

I slept 20 hours on and off due to the pain waking me up but it's on the way out now.... have to wait and see. Hoping for heavy duty sleep tonight.

It's so overwhelming.... I feel myself whimpering involuntarily due to the weight of it all. It's so hard on days like these.

My best wishes are with you Kris.

I don't know if you realise how couragous you are to trockers like me. After a shitty day at work, your update somehow gives me alot of strength mate. I wish I was the one helping you.

UPDATE !

The radiation therapy went really well.

We now have to wait 3 months for it to do it's thing. Then they re-scan the liver to see what has happened. I have a blood test booked next week which should give some indication of how it's going by the cancer markers in my blood... ie, they should be lower. Everything is "wait and see". Very little in the way of definites.

The good part though, is that I have been given 12 weeks off chemo as they don't want to upset the liver anymore than it has been already, hence my activity online the last few days. Every day I'm feeling more and more human. Still very tired at most times but able to do a little here and there. Last Christmas I was flat on my back in bed like a zombie.... this Christmas I get to be human again and enjoy it with the family.

As soon as I know more about results I'll let you know.

k.

Kind regards,

Re: Wagner U47 (looks like we did it part 1) UPDATE

Postby musikwerks » Fri Dec 10, 2010 6:48 pm

Hi guys.

I had my first blood test this week since the SIR treatment. The results came back today with a 65% decrease in my cancer markers. This is the result after one month.... there are still 2 more to go where the radiation is active so it should continue to drop as the tumours die.

It's a very good result so far.

"Thank You" doesn't seem to do justice to how I'm feeling right now but, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has helped, be it financially or with kind words and prayers. This result is because you all stepped in and helped out. Because of you I get to have a Christmas holiday with my wife and kids where I'm not wiped out and in bed all day. I get to see U2 on Monday night and I get to go home to Perth to see my own family for the first time in quite a while, and I'll be able to remember all of it.

I owe every one of you so much.... but for now, please accept our heartfelt gratitude.

Kristian, Rachel, Cody and Jakob.
