why "noooooooooooooooooooooooo.."?
the place looked freakin' cool. especially with all the hot ladies...
what was it like having a film crew crawl all over the place? i also read today that blubottle kiss used the 16 track machine for everything?
nice to read about bands wanting to get really good sounds...
peace.

well I was only joking, although when I agreed to do it I was hoping that it wouldn't be obvious where it was filmed. I guess it doesn't really matter.
the shoot was fine, it wasn't a big deal at all. the only thing was the pie that landed on jamies face used real cream, which made a big stain on the floor that was difficult to get rid of. yes we put newspaper down first but it was a one-take sort of thing and nobody realised how far the cream would be flung across the room. Other than that, it was cool.
And yes, they used the 16 track for everything, including the mix which was printed to 1/4" revox (i think). so all analog until the very end! Jamie was very insistant on that which was great.
great band.
Cheers
Chris

The clip is available ion www.youtube.com (search for Bluebottle Kiss) amongst many other places. Cool song as well as a nice setting for the vid.

i dunno about obvious...
only audio type trainspotters are gonna recognize the awa (and also jerks who are drooling over your studio...)
but rock on bluebottle kiss. a truly great band.
1/4 inch? damn. it keeps me loving them more.
didn't you engineer it chris? if not, who did?
peace.

I like the look of the studio, and the fact that an aussie made guitar amp made the film clip.....
The amp that looks like it has the corners taken off is made in Windsor by Pete Reynolds...... one mighty fine amp...... made by one of the nicest people I have ever met.
