Wish I could go down to Woolies and find these!!
Anyone know where they can be found?
My console came with unbalanced looms, not happy.

Hi Stefan, I've just finished making all the EDAC looms for my Calrec console, I purchased the EDAC's from Redco in the US. There service was great, half the price of anywhere I found in Aus and fast shipping. They also custom make looms if you prefer not to solder.

Hey Stefan,
Are the unbalanced looms actually "unbalanced" all the way through? If the cold is floating from the TRS connector then it shall be pretty simple to fix.

Hi guys,
I've checked a lot of the looms and a lot are indeed only 2 core.
There are 3 that are 3 core with XLRs, so I can solder new jacks onto those no problem.
There are also a few that are 3 core going to unbalanced connectors, problem with that is that on the jack end I have no dramas changing connectors, but EDACs... well they scare me and I have NO idea what I'm doing there or what I'm looking at.
I have sourced a deal out of the UK from a broker I know, he has 6 for offer at about $150 each, they are used but fully tested and in perfect shape.
I will be selling a lot of these looms if anyone is interested... mostly Mogami, Klotz and Boston.

Just be wary that EDAC connections aren't standardised like XLR connections are. Pinouts vary quite a lot between desks!

Yep, Tim the broker in the UK is aware of my needs...
All good, the Redco site is excellent! will consider stuff from there in the future.

Ditto on that. I had them make up up 62 snakes in various lengths last year, and I have absolutely no complaints!
