Can anyone help with Yamaha rev 1 cable ??

Hi there,

I just bought a Yamaha Rev 1 from England(yes..i know...but I put the feelers out here first !)

The remote doesn't seem to be powering properly (I suspect the cable..it doesn't seem to send enough power).

Ss there anybody on list that could LEND me the correct Yamaha cable for a day so i could see if that is the fault(before i send it back to the Queens country !!)

Obviously, I will pay postage both ways..i am on the Sunshine Coast.

Can't help you with anything local, but the USCD surplus store has a Rev 1 remote for US$200 at the moment.

channel 10 @ como had one (melbourne). not sure if its still there. they also had a nice 12 or so channel neve desk that i DIDNT buy a few years ago. (it was about 6k ish......)

I did a google search..do you have a url for that store ??
(Apparently the cable is not propietory and is a standard 9 pin male...still confirming this) Another remote would be great.

For those interested...

Yamaha used to supply the remote cable for about $500 !! .

I found out yesterday it was not a proprietory cable ...it was your bog standard $20 9 pin lead !!!!

Talk about a ripoff !!

Anyways...the upshot is that remote does not work and will be making its way back to pommy land !
