Next T-rock BBQ (Melbourne) 6th March

Postby 13thbeach » Tue Feb 15, 2011 11:44 pm

Hi Kids,
Just created an official thread for the Melbourne Trock BBQ. This has nothing to do with the Sydney one.
So don't expect mic / gear shoot outs, CPU performance tests, plug in / hardware comparisons... or any other crap like that.
However we will have a BBQ....yeah crazy I know but its true. And of course beer will be consumed (bottle shop across the road).

So it will be held at Coloursound / Pickstone premises, on Sunday the 6th of March. Will kick off around 12ish I guess.
Address is 58 Pier St, Sunny Altona (Altona). I'll supply the BBQ, you bring what ever food you like (Coles over the road also).
I look forward to meeting some of you.

Cheers.

Matty, looks like I am away that entire weekend - Friday 'til Sunday. Just my luck.

Have a good one, and I guess in reality who needs an excuse for bbq and beers - we can do another one sometime.

Cheers,
Dave

Sorry I won't be there on Sunday. Family stuff (son's birthday) on that day. Maybe next time.

Sad to miss catching up with you all. Don't have *too* much fun without me! :ymparty:

Last call for all Melbourne Trockers. BBq is tomorrow from 12. Weather is looking to be a good. Bring what ever you want........and ok if you want to test mics etc.... your welcome to. Address is 58 Pier St, Altona. Millers Rd exit from Westgate freeway. If your coming on the train, take the Werribee line and get off at Altona station (Pier St). Studio is hidden behind shops closer to the beach end of the street, across the road from Coles and behind the noodle shop. Ok see you then.

Thanks to Mat and his family for a very enjoyable afternoon. (I still reckon Myles' stories of finding gear are better than my one!)

Yep was a good day. Great weather, Good food and company. My dog was loving it...and then came the BBQ scraps. Thanks for everyone who made the trek out to sunny Altona. Paul, the only inappropriate touching was done by you when you set up the Peluso and the Barney Special....

If i've already ordered my T does that mean i'm the host next time? Although at least Matt and I can attend dress co-ordinated.

"i lit the bbq last Tuesday and have been running a 3 hour swap of hickory and mulberry kindling to get the bbq pot blackened ready for today
today i am using hypodermic needles to inject my secret sauce only into the upper veins of the ribs , on the lower veins i am using my 9 part spice rub
i only have 18 hours to get this set of ribs done .. it will be hard but i reckon i might just make it "
