Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone knows of a b15 for sale? Being a bassist first i figure it's well overdue. Any leads appreciated.

Oh me too.

I have been scoping out ebay for quite sometime, they are going for around 1000-1200 us at the moment. Factor in shipping/tax/import and modding it to work on 240v and you are looking at AUD 2000+.

If you do get one post a few pics so we can drool.

Not in a hurry at mo, might end up with a Fender tube head and wait till later for B15. Have thought about building one-

nb-unless someone finds one in their Grans garage, i'd still be keen.

i always thought they sounded better sonically when you just used the amp and not the buzzy rattly shitty cabinet
like into a real bass cabinet
but then you mix a record you recorded with that shitty cabinet sound before you knew better and it just works ...
so yeah you need the amp and the box :(

I recall you saying you have one here a while back rick? Still got it?

If you do I can cook a few snags on the output tranny while doing my best motown impression at the next bbq.

you know what i had the ac/dc one ( as in i bought personally it off the bass player in ac/dc )
in a fit of " i dont want a recording studio anymore i am going fishing" mid life crisis , i sold it and a ton of other stuff ( neves, neumanns ,lots of speakers and guitar amps)

the good news is i sold the ampeg b18 to my good mate steve and doesnt use it much and when my the place is finished i am buying it back
the bad news is steve only thinks he can talk me out of buying it back and he reads the forum :)

Bought mine from the US a while ago.
All up near $2400 once all taxes and postage costs are dealt with.

Worth every cent for recording.
I often don't even have to eq in the mix. It just works.

And the rattly buzzy cabinet records like a charm.
