WTB - Analogue synth - Found! Yay!

Postby tweakeasy » Wed Apr 06, 2011 1:14 am

I was in a spot of financial difficulty a couple of months back and very sadly had to sell my much beloved mint condition Juno-106. There's no way I can afford to buy another one at the moment with their sudden price rise to North of 1K.

If anyone has an old synth they'd like to sell I'm desperate to get some hardware back in the mix as currently it's all softsynths, and that's just not right. I can only afford up to about 500, so I know I'm pretty limited in what I can get.

Please email me on starsafari1(at)gmail.com or hit me up on here if you have anything lying around that you feel you could part with to help a brother out. :)

Thanks Turtlerockers,

Michael

Re: WANTED - Any old analogue synth. Seriously.

Postby tweakeasy » Tue Apr 12, 2011 5:38 pm

Okay so I've been contacted by a few gents and due to what's been offered I must make amendments to the original post -

NOT any analogue synth, seriously... That was a bit of a desperate cry that lacked proper consideration! Duhhh...

Needs to have sliders and knobs for proper tweaking - I'm not a fan of patch wheels and pushing buttons to control parameters that should be TWEAKED.

I would prefer polyphonic but will consider monos.

Also at this stage my budget has adjusted slightly to around the 700 mark.

Whatcha got? :ymhug:

Cheers!

Seller is a good friend of mine. Absolute synth whore, used to be in a thing called Clan Analog. His factory has to be seen to be believed.

Have been looking at CS-15's but as that only has a few hours 'til it ends it's not enough time to research it properly, and I'm now waiting to hear back from a fellow with another 106. Thanks mate! Will send him a message so that I can perhaps contact him if the auction doesn't make a sale for him.

DIdi you see the 106 on fleabay? I missed it last night. Sounds like it has one thermal related voice chip issue, but easily fixed with the old strip and soak method. It's only at about $400 for now.

Yes, I'm currently bidding on that. It is an easy fix seeing as I've done it before! See how it goes... Thanks for keeping a look-out mate! :)

Got that Juno-106 for $300! Sweet! Thanks eBay! Didn't think you still had bargains... It had actually got to $510 but the winning bidder got scared about the VC problem so I got a second chance offer and got the price down substantially. Niiice.

Haha, thanks mate! No I definitely learned my lesson - flick off the gear you won't regret/want to use again and keep that which you will! Was good how it worked out though - went full circle back to 106 Land. I like that place.

Now keen to revitalise a hunt from the past I never fulfilled and find a nice analogue vocoder...
I'll earmark my right kidney for that yeah?
