Ok I'm all set.... I got my magic carpet back from the shop early all repaired and ready for the journey. I got some optional extras added while it was being repaired... like super sonic button, force field kit, new magic sound system with 18" subwoofer, scotchgard. I even went with the optional glass dome (with aircon) for space travel because we're planning a trip to Mars next year. The guy in the shop even threw in some money tree seeds...for nothing!
I've got my special Neumann radar glasses packed (which I bought for $1.50 from some guy at the Byron markets). Yesterday I did a 1 hour course in Hindi (so now I'm fluent). I've got $200 in Indian rupee's. Can you think of anything else I'll need Rick?
*please note: If you believe this then you probably also believe the '$200 neumanns' story.

Can't go, got a bunch of Leprechauns staying at my place at the moment. They're helping me clean my perpetual motion machine.

It can happen anywhere, it happened to me, but not on the same scale: got dragged to a garage sale in a backyard in Blackheath, and saw the corner of a grey box in long grass propped up against the Hills Hoist. Turned out to be a $4,000 ATC amp, and the owner said he just wanted to get rid of it for $40, because he couldn't use it -it was too loud.
My conscience was eased by the fact that 1) it was ethically the right thing to do to rescue a valuable piece of gear with rainclouds looming, 2)He had already replaced it with a B&O, so money wasn't an issue (he's a property developer), and it was now useless to him.
Justification is an easy and instantaneous, soothing balm - I'm a slave to it.

Our church sends a missionary team to India most years - I went 2 years ago.
Was an eye opening experience.
Didn't see a lot of high end music gear I've gotta say.
You obviously didn't bump into Greg Simmons and his Nagra V...
