some of you may have read my saga on getting a kensington trackball in audio technology last year
well a year later and i was wondering without checking inside why they were giving me the shits
i just popped the balls out and cleaned the insides where a years hand skin had settled into a dough like mess on the lasor sensors
brushed it all inside with a paintbrush and in about 30 secs and i am in love them again
its amazing how small increments of something going wrong can rob you without noticing it happening !
time to clean your trackball / mice out folks

Re: follow up on trackball
LOL - yeah; bit of a shock the first time, Rick.
I try to remember to do mine every few months. I'ts amazing the dust and fluff and whatever that accumulates, even in a few months. And yes, they do feel and work sooo much better after a bit of tlc.

I desexed my mouse years ago.. Not a ball to be seen. Still need to scrape the filth off the little teflon feet every now and then though.
