Filament lamps with slide bases?

Postby Sammas » Fri May 13, 2011 6:18 pm

Hey chaps,

Does anyone know where to find different coloured filament lamps?

Or even better... LED replacements that fit the same switch?

It is for the pushbutton switches in an Al Smart C1.

your link to the photo of a "telephone slide" lamp or T 3 1/4 gets you very close to led lamp replacements.
ie Element 14 do sell led versions of that led base. Just hold onto your socks when you see the price!

nath
there is something about the voltages of the c1 lamps that wasnt straight up and down
maybe they are much higher voltage lamps on a lower rail so they dont blow ?
or they are part of the regulation circuit or i dunno but it was something
i just cannot remember right now
but the bottom line was i tryed to swap led ones at the voltages of the filment bulbs in once and it didnt work
my tech at the time fixed it with filment bulbs again and told be best leave it the way it was designed
not much help i know

email al at smart research - ask him the solution he is very helpful
