Mackie Console STILL FOR SALE
I have a Mackie 32.8 for sale and includes the meter bridge. I have the legs for it so that it is free standing but you will have to get screws to attach it to the body of the desk. I lost the originals. I bought this console when they were first released and hooked it up to my ATR124. It has excellent headroom. Looking for $2000.00. I also have some miscellaneous looms for it. The desk is located in Melbourne.

Re: Mackie Console
righto
might be the only mackie on the planet that tracked pop music that sold SO many platinum records
- Over 20 million copies at least !
oh yeah and won Charles- Aria engineer of the year as the door entry prize
So this desk has broken all known gearslutz limits for a mackie console
if somebody around here doesnt want it
maybe you should put it up on ebay with a glitzy history story
that said i really like the way you put your stuff up here for the local engineers to snap up at a sane price charles
its a real credit to you

Re: Mackie Console
Charles,
I'll email you on this. I'm in Perth and need to sort out what it would cost and how to get it here.
Peace!

Re: Mackie Console
Mr. O'Neil you continue to make me blush. But you are close about the number of records sold that were made on this console. This particular desk was part of the first series made, has like 18db headroom. Never overloaded it. Bob Clearmountain thought the pre amp was better than the SSL at that time. Of course it's still not an old Neve.

Re: Mackie Console
oh come on charles
anything over 30,000 (gold) in australia in australia is a real achievement, where did you go here - like 12 times platnum?
and the us .. the uk ?
whats a few million between friends ?
much to my dismay i was on a bit of a world trip that year - everytime i jumped into a rent a car in any city in any country your work off that little mackie console was blasting out of the radio speakers on the local hit station before i got out of the airport carpark - everytime !
that kind of stuff leaves an impression on a working sound guy from the back waters of the pacific rim swimming pond
made no sense - but left a hell of an impression
