none
they were all custom made for a specific order
colour was a choice by the customer
there were some really beautiful colours
A&M had red , Burbank had blue ( this one) you would sell everything you owned if you saw the black ones
the abc given a choice custom ordered "cannot make a decision committee white" !
go figure?

These look like great modules!
If I didn't already have enough mic/pre eq's....... (most of them Q8).
Love the colours.
I have a pair of Q8 compressors in bright orange with candy apple red knobs.
Looks like a custom 'hot rod' car.

in australia we were spoilt

small population and lots of large corporate broadcasters who bought big in the 1970s in comittees

we had more neves more Q8 and more neumanns per head of population then anywhere i reckon

Been wanting some Q8 for a while now - and the price is very fair.
What do they excel on? (what types of sounds are they really good at recording?)
Acc Inst, gtr amps, drums etc.????

if i wasnt so extended i wouldnt be selling them and certainly not at this price
a lot of guys like em on drums
but i cannot get past them for guitars- every kind elect or acoustic
the reason there are three in a rack is
close mic , distant , room mic
they have really wide Q so you can boost 3 k and everything sounds great
if you like it you can use the same 3k on the other band and you get to like it twice as much !

Yes guitars, overheads, bass, vocals. Can't go wrong.

I have the earlier two band eq Q8's.
These era Q8's 312 are supposed to be the cream of the crop.
