The guy at Orphan Audio is actually very knowledgeable and helpful.
They have a bit of an agenda in suggesting you send the modules to them for tech work, or selling you parts/upgrades etc, but that's being a little harsh as I swapped a few emails with them over some modules of my own (not Electrodyne) without giving them any business. Nice people.
That 'Silvertone' guy on Gearslutz knows a ton about Electrodyne. He's owned a lot of modules himself and has lots of contacts within that whole Electrodyne, Sphere, Q8 scene.
I think the 710 modules are supposed to be great. A little similar to the Q8's? MM61's?
I imagine Rob would be across these too. He handled my Q8's with no sweat at all.
Did a great job (as usual).

I can't see from the pic. Is it a 2 band eq version?
Either way I think it will be excellent, my Q8's are almost identical.

I take it Rob doesn't have any of the above?
Orphan can give you all the pin outs and schemes (presumably for a charge). They may have edge connectors too. They own a large inventory of original parts (mostly for Q8 i think).

Re: Electrodyne 710L modules Questions
I bet the modules are interchangeable and therefore the pinout would be the same on each of the modules. I'm sure it wouldn't take Rob long to work our the pinout. If you can't find the edge connectors you can just solder directly to the pins of the connector as I doubt you are ever going to remove them from the rack and reinstall them in a console. Even if you did its not particularly hard to remove solder from edge pins.

Have you pm'ed Larry DeVivo for pin outs etc?
I imagine Electrodyne are thin on the ground in Oz, also that there would be more raw modules without edge connectors than edge connectors without modules.

Re: Electrodyne 710L modules Questions
Rob has the pinouts - they are the same on all "L" models as you can interchange 709L/710L/711L and 712L in a "L" console.
So one could order a console and put various "L" modules into the frame.
Larry is a busy man.

Re: Electrodyne 710L modules Questions
I have the pinouts and schematics
I can source mating connectors
These things are good. Same basic amplifier topology as early Quad Eight, same swinging input inductor based EQ
nice!
