Wanted U67 Capsule

I need a capsule for a mates Neumann U 67. Any help in locating one would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Gunter Wagner? He has a reskin/replacement service where he sells you an already reskinned capsule & offsets the price by keeping your capsule for reskinning & later sale.

i have a bunch of kk67 i am going to get sent off to get reskinned next time i have some spare $$
if you can find a used one i could add that to the bunch or i could sell you one of mine
gunter is away till august

i presume you read on that other forum that a new neumann one is the only way to go there ?
well i cannot agree with that from my direct experience but i am not in the mood to jump in and argue
with him about it - that reskinned capsule issue is too subjective ..too wide open ....even if i am right !

but as you will see i am still having teething problems in that discussion group
its a tough crowd being that the moderators are mostly all business /trading partners
you disagree with one you disagree with three !
and you end up having to post royal flushes just to win against a badly setup 1 pair hand

then of coarse we have Ben on board it seems if he disagrees the thread just stops !

Ben had a reskinned kk67 for sale here a month or two ago
chase him up he might have more

Thanks Rick. Mic shootouts, and educated opinions on capsules etc are way beyond me but sure are subjective territory. I have noticed a few discussions "over there" go that way and it's great to see you and Ben not backwards in putting in your two bobs worth. I have really enjoyed those threads. I must say it appears that some are a bit surprised and almost caught out by unspoken assumptions like "how can Australians know as much as we know"........(hope it's not my own cultural cringe factor). Every now and then after the discussion as meandered back and forth you serve an ace that sends them scattering all over the court.........shit it's funny i reckon!
Anyway we're not in a big hurry as the mic has been a no goer for a year or two but it's time to get it going and we don't want to pay Senheisser dollars for one. I will see if the capsule is up for re skinning and PM Ben to see what he has.

take it out send it to thierst or to ben if he wants to do it
it will cost a 1/3 of what have been lead to believe and it will be as new in a matter of weeks

and as for living large on the internet
i reckon there is a bit of that going on this week

if oliver is wrong it would "effect" his companies creditability

Btw that photo spread of the factory shots is dated from other sources we all have ( even oliver)
the one that isnt dated is the u47 assembilly table and the capsule /gloves table
i have been told for years the u47 table shot IS gefell and the headshells are the key
but headshell issue has been dropped on the forum for more important stuff
like the simliarity between my thoughts on the subject
and what wikipediea wrote about the guy with the money bags in the monopoly game ?

Hello,the answer is: to my knowledge none of the current mics share common components, excluding the M7 + K47/49 capsule family. The wall came up in 1961, so since then there were no commercial realtionships anymore. All current relevant capsules etc. were designed after 1961. BTW: M300 is definitely brighter than KM184 + KM140.
