In good nick! It has had its switch caps replaced with new ones fresh from Al Smart (what a lovely bloke). In great working order. The front panel has a few marks on it, but I think they will rub off.
I am chasing $1650 or a trade for another nice stereo (non SSL variety) compressor... additional cash can be added from my end. API 2500? STC-8? Etc, etc, etc...
I'll get photos up asap.

I fear you are probably right, Rick!
Have you ever peered inside a C1? I seem to remember a studio name being etched as part of the PCB design. I know it bared the year "1988". It is probably a question for Alan himself, but is this just a standard PCB/design date sample or were they actually made one by one as custom orders?

Should say
Engine room on it
The clones that came out over the years are kinda right
But i have been using a c1 since they appeared
Its a no brainer thing
It is the ssl sound
I reckon the newer stuff missed the point

Hey Greg,
Sorry about the delay! Unfortunately there is a bit of a line forming. I've shot you a PM.
