Alistair if you register/login and view the seminars you'll see the GE seminar is SOLD OUT.

Yeh i wish it was more clear when that seminar was going on sale and how many seats were available.

Isn't there something we can do? I could disguise myself as a microphone stand? ... hold on I've put on a couple of kg's lately...how bout a lecturn?

Hmmmm.... I might put in an enquiry to the event director and get this clarified. I spoke to her last week and she said they would send an email to all registered attendees when the ticket sale was announced, but that was going to be in August..
Will let all know what response I get.

I'll be buggered. Well I'm guessing they've put the sold out sign up on their web page so no one is able to click and book yet. That sold out sign will probably turn into a tick box as soon as there available.

your assessment sounds right ben
they probably have a zillion registees
and calling it sold out would be the clunky way of doing it though that makes sense to the story


what i know is i have been encouraged to tell anybody that is interested to contact AT and register and then buy tickets

there will be no - "come on were mates let me in going on " as has been expected in the past
so nobody wants to be put in that position at the last minute
which is why we got in on the info so early

some people in this business myself included hate buying tickets !

i dont have a great connection with the integrate team ( we talk once a year maybe ) so i reckon just keep at them until it becomes clear

my information that it was sold out could well be explained that they have more then enough registees so they dont want anymore -- but i am just guessing

And yeah, sorry to everyone for the confusion re ticket sales. There seems to be some major issues about ticket sales for Geoff and Richard's get together, which incidentally has never happened before publicly, so Rick, you weren't wrong. Sure there's been a show about it, but it's not like anyone could pop into the filming of that little escapade, and according to Richard the two have never spoken at an event like this before, period.

Anyhoo, I'm trying to work out which bright spark used the words 'SOLD OUT' to denote the concept that TICKET SALES HAVE NOT YET COMMENCED for Geoff and Richard's appearance, but when I do I'll be sure to let them know how frustrated everyone has been made to feel. Apologies. I wrote about this on the AT forum the other day but it seems word hasn't spread over here until now.

Tickets will go on sale next week. If you hear anything to the contrary you can be sure what that person is saying is wrong. I'll be announcing the opening of the ticket sales floodgate on the AT forum next week, and there will be 24 hours grace before a wider public announcement is made, to hopefully stop Beatles fans and media types snaffling all the tickets. There will only be about 200 tickets in total I think - not sure of the exact number to be honest - but they will go fast I suspect. They may not, who knows.

But it won't be the end of the world if you miss out. There will be another yarn with Richard and Geoff on the following day at AT World in the Hordern Pavillion, and that will be free. Geoff is also looking like doing a masterclass for a small group, so you could maybe get into that.

As soon as I know more than this, I'll let you guys know.

Talking to Mr Martin sounds like it would have been fun. And Rick, just for the record, The Mill is about 400ks from the town of Ballarat. I prefer to mix with an ocean view in the distance!

I'm going to talk to Geoff again today on the phone about masterclasses and the panel discussion, so if anyone has any questions they think would be relevant to ask him on the day I'm all ears.

Anyway, I can finally announce that tickets for the Geoff Emerick and Richard Lush 'Beatles' lecture will go on sale tomorrow at around 9am on the integrate website.

If you're keen to get to the 31st of August session in the HEADROOM at the Hordern Pavillion, keep an eagle eye on the Integrate ticket page in the AM. If the webpage still reads "CLOSED" when you go there – which for some reason was supposed to indicate to people that tickets had not yet gone on sale, even though EVERYONE has (quite understandably) assumed it to indicate that they'd missed out – have no fear. This simply means that ticket sales have not yet commenced. Clear as mud I know.

Hope to see a few crew from this forum there.
