Fish Choo Chee
Hey Chris.
Yes I remember getting addicted to Fish Choo Chee from Prasits Thai back when I was working at BJB regularly, I think you gave me my first taste.
Spice I Am is awesome, I hear Sailors Thai is good as well. Apparently you go to eatery next door to the expensive restaurant and its just as good.
Cheers.
Yum Yum.

Not so easy after a 14hr session at 2am - with a few glasses of red under my belt!
I passed on so much amazing work to care for him over the last year.
Hence a lot more time spent on TRock as I kept him warm by the fire while on the net.
MAN - i miss him bigtime!
He's buried on the property - with a tree to be planted in his honor.
Here he is a few years ago at BJB - and a few weeks before his passing.
WORD!
Man, you sound like a lovely human being...

Senad - My dog Bear was the lovely human being!
I was doing what any good dog would do!
We all have to be caring souls at times in our lives - I kept looking at my great friend and no way could I put him down for a work schedule - or cause It was hard to lift him up and down stairs.
He was so worth it - If you had ever met him, or spent time with him, you would understand - he was WAY special!
And thanks mate for your kind words.

Re: The BIG BJB sale
Hey Chris,
I wish there were more people in this world like yourself. I always wanted to have a pet, but never was brave enough to get close to one, hearing other people's stories (like yours) and knowing how weak I would be in such situations...I have a 3 year old son now, who'd love a dog, but Im just so scared of falling in love with the thing and then losing it, and I'm just putting off bringing one home.
Man I'd love to have a drink with you one day, you just seem like one of those people with whom you could just talk about soft things in life, gett pissed, say nothing when you get too drunk and still feel comfortable...
You know what i mean....
All the best to you man, whatever you take on next

Baaahhhh! The good times far outweigh the bad. Something that brings love into a household can never be bad...

Here Here Sammas!
Senad - I'm a real tough bastard when I need to be - its all about balance.
If your boy wants a dog - get one for the little man - you cant go wrong unless you lock them up all day and go to work and ignore them - they must have people to interact with - this is what they live for, and the rewards and endless joy for all the family is priceless. (after they eat all your shoes in the first year of their life)
If you have never had one you MUST do puppy lessons though - one has to understand the way they think etc.
Lets have a beer someday - I like beer!
But just like kids - its all about consistency - you cant tell them not to do something one moment and let them get away with it the next. This is the big secret to dogs.
Kids, and dogs (and friend's and wives) respect and admire you for consistency - otherwise they think you don't mean what you say, and a dog very quickly can determine you are flakey - and to be ignored when you try to tell them what not to do.
And thanks Jon on the Sun stuff
There is a song on the first Sun album called "letter to an old dog" - that was for my last dog before Bear!
I don't think there will be another Sun album, but maybe - Ive got a solo album is gradually coming together....one day if I can ever stop working on other artists dreams....
Nothing like Sun though - I continually rebel against my musical past.
I can be such a softy sometimes.......
Anyone want a fight!!!!!
HA HA HA!

Hey Lee - it unlikely as she's going to hang with me.
Its one of the rare ungiged ones - and as many great keyboardists say, its a special one.
It took so long to find one this good I gotta keep her.

Re: The BIG sale
F##k, F##kkkk, FU#KING HELL!!
This is very bad news... I don't want to believe it. Institution to say the least! And the Drum room....!!
Bloody shit. It kills me!! I know nothing of the technicalities but what about the place? Can't you keep it? Or sell half the stuff and relocate?
Man,and this jewel, the QUAD EIGHT Console.... Aaaaah! If I had the 33Grand i would buy it so it's stays in Sydney!
It smells like non-gentlemanism...?
F##KKKKKKK!!
Sorry, don't wanna be negative after all the positive stuff but it bloody hurts. The Quad Eight room was my dream room...

Re: The BIG BJB sale
It was a great combo that high room with wooden floor and the Quadeight.
I was thinking this morning that I must have worked at BJB on something like 500 Albums - at least!
EEKK!
I will miss the room/console combo.
There is no drum room that sounds like it - and it is not perfect in anyway, it has its own personality.
- like the quadeight -
Many great sounding albums were mixed on that console too..
yeah wish I could buy it ......I do hope it stays in Sydney so i can book it.

Re: The BIG BJB sale
just noted that the 8 channel of racked coronado preamps sold. I thought at the time I racked those up that they were pretty damn good. A good score for whoever grabbed those.
I recently aquired a couple of the transformers and amplifier modules as used in those units and recalling that unit I made for BJB that these would be worthy things to do something with...... hmmmm thinking

Aw man another classic studio gone
I worked there a couple of years ago and loved the vibe. Sad to see something out of your control forcing your hand on this Chris. I wish you all the best in the future with many more happy sessions to come.
