8 Channel Mixer

Hey All,

I'm looking for a clean, portable 8 channel mixer for my portable rig. It would pretty much be exclusively for monitoring, so some aux sends would be nice, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker not to have them.

The only new product I've been able to dig up that fits the bill and price range is this : http://www.soundcraft.com/products/product.aspx?pid=148 . Just wondering if anybody has any better suggestions..

I think the ssl x-desk looks probably the best, but a little out of my price bracket for the moment.

Hey Todd,

Not sure of exactly what features you need and don't, eg FX and price. But I would also be looking at offerings from Allan and heath, mackie, yamaha, tapco(mackie). There are also brands like carilion, phonic and be!@#$%^&, but these would be on the b and c list for me.

ive never used it, but just saw at integrate an APB Dynosonics rack mount 8 (or there abouts) ch mixer.
i reviewed there mix-switch for audio tech some time ago, and it was EXCEPTIONAL so dont dont the rest of the range is similar.
certainly worth a check out.
