A note of thanks

Postby musikwerks » Thu Sep 15, 2011 5:53 pm

Hi guys.

I just wanted to thank you all for the way you came in and helped me out last year with the funds for the radiation treatment. It was an incredible gesture that we still talk about often in our house and amongst our circle of friends. You might think your actions insignificant but believe me, my wife and children do not. I do not.

You all quite literally bought me another year of life.

So... things are going ok, except for 4 nasty little tumours that are misbehaving in the liver and I'm going back in for another round of the same radiation in two weeks. The doctors are happy to do it and believe good things will come from it. We're cool on the finances side thanks to our friends at Xbox Australia and the Oprah show but I wanted to let you know how much we did, and still do, appreciate all of you and what you did for me, for us as a family.

I told you I wouldn't give up... and I'm not.

I'm going to be heading into a vapor for a while afterwards so please forgive me in advance if I don't reply or update. I will be flat on my back for weeks again with very little energy.

But I will see you on the other side of all of this.... drinks will be on me.

Thanks for the kind words Kris. It's nice to know this little community at TR has helped you and your family through some tough times. I'm sure it lifted your spirits as much as it lifted ours.

Keep us posted.

Peace.

Hey Kris,

Glad things are financially ok, bummer a few tumors rufuse to respect your authoritor, hopefully you can chop them too.

One thing worth a mention is I saw the article you did in the Manly Daily a month or few back and it's was awesome to see as a result of your tenacicty the federal gubberment gave in and decided to add the new treatment you received to the PBS, well done! Many others will benefit also, true champ!

Kris,
Been reading about your story on here and have seen it in the media. Hope all goes well for the upcoming treatment! From the sounds of it you're a real fighter and will no doubt give those tumours a run for their money!
