would anyone know who builds leslie preamps with speed control - I need one for a 147 leslie
Or if someone by odd chance had one lying around

hmmm I've serviced a couple of these. There isn't much in them. The tricky bit is making sure that the Leslie is all wired as original and chasing up the mating connector. I have documents if you want a custom unit cloned.

I just found a few 110v ones in the US - pretty cheap, but nervous that the wiring mates up properly.
But the Leslie has been married to our L100 forever.
Its one of those things - I don't want to be sending a Leslie to SA just to find out if the wiring is correct.
Need you to convert the 110v preamp to 240v though Rob....

if it is the deluxe combo preamp, then mains power simply passes through this unit to the Leslie. Thus the Leslie "runs off" the mains coming through the preamp. The Leslie then sends DC back down the the electronics in the preamp. ... make sense ? But in this set up the Leslie is no longer connected to the Hammond, rather now a line out from the Hammond would go to the preamp then thence the Leslie.

I recommended an ol' friend - Stan Holroyd to a mate of mine who needed one made recently for his leslie. I have it and the leslie in my studio atm and it works beautifully. Using it for reamping. It has 2 inputs (with gain controls) and a speed control button.

I know Stan - he services our hammond L100.

Then get Rob - or Stan to put a 240v P/Supply in it
Done - then I can sound like the Dalia Lama on a mountaintop

I know Mathew - used him once or twice
But Stan and Guido are on another level though.
I was not sure that Stan built these things - only knew he was a great tech - also use him on my Rhodes Mk1 and Whirly
I missed out on that ebay one - so may as well get a simple one made - and as the leslie is still in Sydney - Stan is the man
