Would you recommend the PS3 as a media center?

I have an Xbox 360 for games, I would want a PS3 for mostly online content (iPlayer, YouTube...) and possibly I'd get Play TV, I'd also rip CD's to the hard drive and watch Blu-Rays. Can anyone who has a PS3 write a short review on these categories and also include some features not listed. Would you recommend that I got one?
