Neumann KM88i - I've used this microphone on various sources such as strings and acoustic guitar. It excels on stringed acoustic instruments. The KM 88i includes 3 selectable polar patterns (omni, cardiod and figure 8) and a 10db pad switch. The "i" means xlr connection. Comes with the original Neumann leather case. serial no. 21143 - $1600 Price drop to $1500

Blondie looks to be sold pending payment.
I've had a couple of inquiries about the Neumann KM88i but it's still available.

Dropping the price on the Neumann KM88i to $1500. I'm not sure why. I love this mic but I'm not using it as often as I'd like and a Pye comp has my name on it.

For those unfamiliar with the KM88i it is a multi pattern (omni, cardiod, figure 8) small condenser microphone with a 10db pad built in. What makes this mic special is it's nickel diaphram that gives it a smooth beautiful sound.

Nothing too exciting David. It's a clone (PI-3141). Dual channel.

I'm undecided whether to build from the kit or just buy one. Probably will buy one and then also grab the pcb set and make another at some point.

I thought the prototype sounded nice.

I saw that a while ago. Didn't realise they were a real product yet.

Abe is putting the finishing touches together, but yeah, it's a thang.
I'm happy to give it a go seeing the prototype sounds so good.

Putting my pennies together and emptying my piggy bank to buy one. Are you interested David?

It's been a punishing year, so I'm afraid my piggy bank is already empty.

I was just interested in which Pye. Well, now it proves to be a remake, which is it modelled on?

Hi david...I believe it's modelled on the PYE 4060. Pye 4060 had the gate and +40dB input. Both of these have been scrapped from this remake.

Anyone want to buy a Neumann km88i?

Cheers
