Sydney sparkies

Postby Manning » Thu Nov 10, 2011 3:32 pm

Does anyone know a good Sydney electrician who is sympathetic to poverty-stricken musicians? Even better, one who might trade some work for studio time?

We only have two 10 amp lines coming into our building (it was originally a duck barn, after all), and this is increasingly becoming a problem.

Oh yeah there are plenty around, that's not an issue. We'd just like to get involved with one who is a bit more musician-friendly, if we can find one. A sparkie in a band who wants ample free studio time would be perfect.

We've just lined up a console (buying Steve Francis's Auditronics 701) and an air conditioner (desperately needed), plus we need to build a new wall and ceiling in the console room, so any way of cutting costs at the moment is welcome.
