Hi Nath,

Not sure if you are completely settled on the Apogee. if not, I have a Mytek Studioclock192 CX that I am about to put up for sale. It was purchased direct from Mytek and performed absolutely flawlessly in its two years of operation for me. I used it as my central master clock for my whole studio (syncing a Mackie d8b digital desk, a bunch of Mackie Onyx800R ADAT pres and my RME soundcard). I have since purchased a Mytek 8X192 which includes this master clock functionality so I no longer need the Mytek Studioclock.

Awave are selling it for AUD$999 retail, but I will let it go for AUD$600.

Hey George!

If it were just a master clock I was chasing I'd be all over the Mytek. Part of my attraction to the Big Ben though is that is can do format conversion so that I can consolidate 2 AES i/o & 1 SPDIF i/o into an ADAT stream. Handy stuff! The addition of a master clock is just an added benefit!

No worries Nath,

I didn't realize the Big Ben did all that format conversion in addition to the master clock functionality! If you can't find an Apogee, you might want to check out some 2nd-hand RME format converters. The ADI-4 DD and and the ADI-8 DD or the much more expensive ADI-192 DD do the same sort of conversions (although the SPDIF is only optical toslink and not coaxial I believe).
