Ben, just a few days away.....it gets released (along with all 8 of the anthems) on the Abbey Road website on Nov 28th (UK date) which would be 29th here - Tuesday! All 8 will be available as free downloads.

I'll be logging in for that one Steve. Nice timing.

I reckon you could make a great 1000:1 scale model of it Steve. Just use lego. And put some lab coats on the lego men.

Great Barney.
Got it that time. We had a forum malfunction.

So that's all folks.

I'll contact Roger later and organise final payment details and customs. Then I'll PM my bank dets to everyone separately and make the paypal payment as soon as everything clears.

Ben's pretty keen to send the order out on Wednesday night, so if he hasn't received payment from all parties by then, you'd have a strong case to get in on the order.

Roger has been a great guy to deal with. When I was inquiring about 2 books he said it was 135GBP each with free postage. The more people that come on board the cheaper it gets. You could get 4 books for the price of 3 no shipping. We have paid for 5 and are getting 8 no shipping/customs.
The 8 books are costing $138 AUD each and they're worth 135GBP over the counter. Bewdy!
I'd be happy to arrange the second batch seeing I'm now the "Australian Distributor". Eerr that's bullshit by the way :) I have no direct interest or affiliation with the RA Book. Roger just said it as a joke.....I think?

You're arranging for the books to come into the country.
You're then arranging for them to go to purchasers.

If that isn't a "distributor" then I don't know what is :)

Yes but for no profit or financial gain.

The fact is I've been bedridden since tuesday last week because I stupidly picked up a large log while doing some log splitting at home and killed my back. Basically I couldn't move at all for a few days. So organising this has been a great way to pass some time. I'm up on my feet now and feeling much better.

Payment made earlier this morning Ben.... Hope your back gets better mate! Will be a fun Xmas reading the RA Book while listening to the new Beach Boys Smile Sessions boxed set which just arrived via Amazon today (5CDs, 2LPs, 2 7" singles, 60pp book, posters and photos - great packaged set if you like to listen to things like Brian Wilson recording himself falling into a piano, falling into a microphone, underwater chanting and a million different takes of Good Vibrations.... mmmm, give me some of those veg-e-tables!

EDIT - for those that are interested, my Abbey Road Anthem is now up on the Abbey Road website along with the other winning entries. A behind-the-scenes look at the making of the anthem will be on Abbey Road's youtube channel next week (they shot the whole thing in HD video):

Thanks everyone for paying so promptly. As you can see (about 8 posts above this) everyone has paid up and as of 5 minutes ago I pressed the "pay now" button in paypal for the purchase. All we need to do now is wait for our DHL courier and then distribute.

You'll notice I've started a second batch list. If it reaches 8 more buyers then I'll do the do but if it's just a few late stragglers then you'd be better off organising between yourselves.

Happy days! We have some good Christmas reading coming.

cheers

That just makes you a distributor with a "less-than-perfect" business model. :))

Brian May (the Queen feller) had the same problem with his stereoscopic images book ("A Village Lost and Found", google if intrigued). His solution was to write on a piece of elegant stationery which could then be glued once the book was unsealed.

Maybe Roger could be persuaded to do something similar?

Ok, there is an anonymous outsider putting his name in for book 7 which leaves us with only one book left.
A couple of people have started putting their $138 into the provided account details already, which is good timing. The sooner it's paid up the sooner I'll be able to order. I'm keeping notes on all the incomings and outgoings and will also post "payment received" on the persons name. Bewdy!
