Keyboard racks - any Aussie manufacturers?

I'm researching some options for keyboard racks. The sort of thing I've got in mind is a 4-tier rack, along the lines of the racks available here: http://www.jaspers-alu.de/eng/index1.html



I hesitate to buy from those guys though because, although they look really decent, they're pretty expensive... plus being located in Germany, the shipping to Australia is also pretty expensive (~180 EUR - pretty much half the cost of the racks themselves).

So I'm wondering if there's any Aussie manufacturers that make these sorts of multi-tier racks?

Didn't find any aust stands that i was happy with - just cheap poorly made import stuff

get one of those jaspers from Thomann de: with the exchange rate over 0.76 its cheap

They sell ex Vat and cap shipping to aus at 50 eur

They have many different models - make sure you get the right one,

they also do special orders - check the jaspers online shop for part numbers then email Thomann - you can
buy extra bars and holders - measure your keyboards width to get the right size rack..

I am pretty sure there Chinese manufactured, but the boom mic stand i brought for $130 is an absolute pearler and can hold up the heaviest of mics without fear of falling, i am about to purchase a keyboard stand to house my Virus Ti and Roland JX8-P. you can also buy add ons. I'll let you know what i think.

I've got lots of keyboards, and A-Frames scare me.

They take up too much room, and on two occasions I've seem them kindly rotate one of the cross bars and dump the keyboard on the ground. Nasty.

Just ask what happened to Electrofetish's Prophet 5. eeek.

Totally agree with Futureman, after checking out the A Frames on display, not that sturdy at all, unless you had one fabricated out of something heavy duty? I ended up buying a double braced 2 tier as that is all i require at this stage, is it for live performance or studio work? If it is just for the studio i would pay someone to fabricate a stand out of steel??

For permanent solution, for me...

I bought about 6 of those strips that they sell at bunnings for storage.. They have lots of different size brackets that clip into them..
I dynabolted the drips to the wall with 6mm countersunk dynabolts (60mm long)
My walls are rendered brick, so it's strong as.

The brackets are rated at something like 80kg each. The advantage is I can move keyboards around at different heights etc..

The down side is that you can not change the playing angle.. But I only go three keyboards high, so that doesn't bother me.

As long as your wall is strong. And you use dynabolts, the only way your keyboards will fall down us if the whole wall falls over with them.

Looks nice and tidy and the keyboards only take up as much room as the keyboards.. almost like modern art. Keyboards suspended on the wall.

Another up shot is that you still have all your floor space underneath the keyboards.
