May be interested in the awa but if you're actually selling would you mind listing a price?

Re: EOI gear for sale
Presumably 'stereo' means two AWA Big 1's in a linked rack (Proharmonic)?
The AWA Big 1's I've seen for $1000 to $1250 were single units.
Just guessing here.

Re: EOI gear for sale
Yep, it is two single units that are linkable in a 3ru case. Attack and release controls added.
As mentioned, I am considering offers on all the gear listed. Is $2500 too much for the AWA? Make on offer.
Did I mention that it works great as a pair of mic pre amps?
Cheers,
Paul Maybury

Re: EOI gear for sale
Here is a link to some youtube footage of one in action.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmGB6PEv19Y
I can provide photos of mine if anyones interested.
It owes me around $2,000 but I am open to offers.
It is complete including valves and comes with the hard to find shop manual.
I haven't powered it up since buying it 4 years ago. Just haven't had time to go through the manual and wire it up correctly. It's high voltage scary valves!
It was in service at a radio station from 1962 till 2002.
It's full of UTC transformers.

Re: EOI gear for sale
Hi all, I've had a lot of inquiries about the Gates Gatesway. I will add current photo's when I get a chance, but here is a link to the same model, although mine has a slightly different finish. The innerds are the same.
http://www.broadcastdocuments.com/BROAD ... ESWAY.html
It is complete including valves, manual, original PSU with 50w monitor amp and loom.
I am told it was in service at the same station in New England in the U.S. from new till 2002. 40 yrs of being in use, likely 24/7. It was working fine when taken out of service.
I have not powered it up since importing it. My aim was to use it as a front end to digital by adding direct outs of the mic pres and also to use it with two mono tape machines and make recordings by bouncing between them. I like limitations!
The 4 mic pre amps have fixed gain of I think 40db, and I believe it has a 600ohm interconnect scheme, so it will take some thought to integrate it into a modern system.
I still want to do this, but if I get the right offer, I'll let it go. It owes me $2k. It's the only one I know of in Australia.
Cheers!
