Mastering engineer needed asap!

Postby dave01.cooper » Tue Feb 07, 2012 12:04 am

Hey Turtlerock world,

A 2 piece blues rock band from Tassie named Guthrie came & recorded a follow up EP to their album with us not too long ago but only to find that their distributor needs 2 out of the 5 songs mixed/mastered & 80 copies burnt on his desk by this coming Thursday afternoon. We hadn't even started editing yet until we found this out today :-s
Lets just say full time jobs may have to be put on hold for the time being!

Currently we're going to have 1 track ready for mastering first thing tomorrow morning & the other tomorrow arvo. So is there anyone out there or who knows anyone that has a solid history with such music, good facilities, first rate analog signal path & has the time spare tomorrow?! Just from that sentence sounds like I'm asking for all the riches in the world and more but just putting the feelers out. Budget ranges from $100-$150 per track. Will also need a master disk with all appropriate ISRC & PQ codes imbedded on both tracks.

Our usual mastering engineer is currently overseas so cannot do it hence the plug.

Please help! Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks y'all. I'm off to make another coffee......

Isn't Turtlerock in the process of moving hence no studios to work at?

I'm sure Rick will chime in and explain, but he is still working, just not taking attended sessions. I had a job done 2 weeks ago and the work is as great as always.

Rick is most certainly still working.

Whether he can fit you in at such short notice is a different matter, but just call him.

Hey guys thanks for the replies, I had no idea Rick was still working - just thought with the move nothing was accessible. Will give him a buzz.

Cheers
