SOLD: Calrec Compact Analog Console

Postby SYOS » Sun Feb 19, 2012 9:26 pm

Hi All,

Selling my Calrec Compact mixing console, bought a little over a year ago with big plans that haven't been realised so I've decided to move this on.

I have never had the console up and running and was told of a few issues when I purchased it, these are listed below. I have purchased brand new EDAC and D50 connectors and these are included along with 5x4m lengths of 12ch Belden core, not terminated, parts only. I also have a spare 8ch bucket currently not fitted.

Photos of the console here http://imageshack.us/g/192/dscn1651kh.jpg/

Monitors not included.

Will throw in the table and monitor bridge shown if picked up.

Console is fitted with the following:
8x Mono Mic/Line
8x Stereo Line
4x Stereo Subgroup w/ Compressor
2x Stereo Master w/ Compressor
Comprehensive meter and monitor switching
3x mono aux's
1x stereo aux

All Faders are Penny & Giles and are smooth as silk

I have two PSU's, only requires one unless additional bucket is fitted.

Console is Excellent physical condition, all text is engraved into the panels therefore no screen printing to rub off.

Master outs are transformer balanced with Lundahl transformers.

I have full schematics that were supplied with console from new and a channel extender card, vital for being able to service modules while active.

Issues reported when i purchased:
Most Stereo modules have intermittent issues, mostly with switching onto buses. Some have issues when switching in EQ. All but 1 Mono, appear to be still OK. Very hard to locate intermittent with Main Monitor where Left drops out, though Line Output is fine.

Looking for $3000 but open to offers, can ship at buyers expense or pickup Brisbane.

Any questions just ask.

Oh, if only I had the money. The mono mic/lines look like 2647s (can't quite make out the lettering). I have two of these racked. They are wonderful. Clean as a whistle and the EQ is great.

Despite the issues described, I would heartily recommend this to anyone.

Well, you know Myles, there's a pair sitting here in Melbourne if you ever want to give a test drive! Though I suspect that, after driving Dave's desk for a while, you know what you'd be getting!
