Band Merch?

Postby Lee » Wed Feb 22, 2012 7:28 pm

Hi all, I'm looking at getting some T-shirts, stickers and (most importantly) beer coolers made for my band. Any recommendations based on good and bad experiences? Thanks.

Also interested, all the printers I've found for small runs are bloody expensive!

I'm interested too in some stickers - not for band merch - but for political/enviromental reasons.

www.redbubble.com

most people i know use this for small runs and for funny shit...also if it catches on, you can make $$ off it.

You can make t's, stickers, prints, poster, whatever. Submit your own design, they print, ship to you..

etc.

Dunno about the price because its been a long time since I was in a band and had t-shirts made, but if I used them the price must've been reasonable. They do good work.

I got some business cards from them, and a one off t shirt...they did what they said they would do.

I think it was 20 bucks for the t shirt..

Agreed - I also got business cards from them - good enough for small scale but not perfect. I think they're giving free freight now.

my vistaprint cards were a bit of a disappointment, but I guess I did get my money's worth at $.005 each or whatever they worked out at..

Ah fond memories... the stupid state paid for my first electric guitar (A Gibson L6S).

At the age of 15 I was arrested at the Franklin dam protests. The police failed to correctly process me as a juvenile (to be fair I was quite tall for my age) and subsequently detained me in an adult jail for two days, plus made no attempt to contact my parents.

I was eventually paid $500 compensation. (In hindsight I probably could have gotten much more, but at the time I was quite delighted, that was a lot of money to a poor kid in 1983).

a friend of mine showed me a pocketwatch that he had got at a gig as merch. The band had bought them from somewhere in china with engraving and band stuff on the watchface and was still making a profit from them selling them at $10 each. They were flying off the merch table. Don't know where they got them from but they were pretty cool.

Tassie the stupid state? Tassie is the most interesting and contradictory state but I wouldn't call it stupid. Plenty of idiots all over australia, don't think one state has the monopoly on that.
