WTB 12ax7 and 6414 tubes..

Postby danander11 » Thu Feb 23, 2012 6:19 am

Hello everyone...

I'm looking for a couple of 6414 tubes locally if anyone has a couple that they are willing to part with...

I would also be interested in a 12ax7 ( JJ or Mullard or the equivalent).

Not looking for excceptionally high-end or pricey tubes.. just something good and useable to have around as spares (without being junk).

Peace!

Try the WES catalogue: good range of manufacturers (China,, Russia, US< etc) and models, and good-to-only-slightly-outrageous prices.

Hi Danny,I've got plenty of 12AX7 s ( and lots of other pre and power valves). What application and how many do you want ? Some are new in box, some S/H, but all tested and good. Many different classic brands.Mullard,Brimar,AWV,RCA,Amperex,GE,Philips, Miniwatt plus many others,Nothing Chinese or Russian or cheap copies , only the real deal from the 60s or earlier.
6414s on the other hand are pretty hard to find.Similar to a 12AT7, but more rugged,Military spec dual triode designed for computer use.You could try Mal & Carole at Evatco http://www.evatco.com.au ,I've bought a few tubes and a lot of transformers from them or http://www.audiotubes.com in the US
