Sold - Neumann U47 Fet - Mint Condition
]Neumann U47 Fet - Mint Condition
Not much to say about this one... everyone knows what it is.
One owner in mint condition. It's been in storage for over 25 years. Works perfectly.
Comes with leather case and all documentation... manual, schematic, etc.

Well Alistair... that is probably because it's only been out the case 3 or 4 time since the day I got it.

Why didn't I think of that... I'll post a pic over there.

It's been less than a week since I made a solemn oath that for the next three months I do nothing but get my credit card back in order.
Then this.
Why God, why?

Seriously how many times in your life will you see these words attached to a u47...
Amazing looking mic
Not much I can do about it for the next year though! I shouldn't even be looking at the for sale forum

If I turn up at home saying i've just bought this, I will have an operation performed by "The Enforcer" on a delicate part of the anatomy without the use or anesthetic or surgical instruments..... If only there was a way

I'm researching how much my wife would fetch on the slave trade.
Seriously, if Nic doesn't buy it, I'll be getting a boost on my bank loan. This is too good to pass up.

Anything you want nice bottom/low mids without the modern hyped top end sound on. Really good on the far end of a piano to mix in with a stero pair of sdc's up by the hammers, cello, some voices. I use ours on clean guitar amps, sounds real nice.

Greg - what news?
Should I be tromping off to the bank today, or should I be going to the pub to drown my sorrows?
Cheers Manning

Well I'll (with huge regret) drop out of the running.
I've really got to stump up the bikkies for some heavy duty electrical work.
May the person who buys this have a lovely time, and also be prepared to rent it to me on occasion.

Re: Neumann U47 Fet - Mint Condition
Hi there one and all.
First off, please except my apologies for my lack of communication over the last week, it's been off the scale, basically up to my ears in alligators!
Well I can't believe the amount of interest I've received from all over the globe for this mic, could've sold 20 of them. Had a couple offers in excess of $5K.
Anyhow you don't have to worry about selling a kidney, maxing out the credit card or having an operation performed by "The Enforcer" as it has been sold to another Turtlerocker who basically made a straight up offer in excess of my asking price. Didn't really want to start a bidding war amongst the TR crowd so I accepted that offer.
It's gone to a good home where I'm sure it will be appreciated and put to good use.
So thanks to everyone.
