iphone session

Soon to start an album and I asked the band for a DI count for the session.
First time anyone has asked for a pair of DI's for their Iphone which they play via midi keyboard.
Times certainly are changing.....

Dunno if this has been mentioned on here before, but Damon Albarn made a Gorillaz album just on his ipad in a week while on tour.

if the work sounds good, using an iphone, ipad or recording using dog poo, shouldnt matter imo.

I've done quite a few sessions myself playing my ipad - but the iphone was a shock to me as a midi device - but really there is very little difference as far as what they can do.
Ive got the idock which gives me balanced out and midi in/out.
Seems like it wont be long before artists will be playing a memory stick......

midi flute memory stick :P

electret mic > pitch to midi convertor > midi flute....USB recording. Sounds doable now if anyone thought the idea was good, lol.

Ahh - but you can polish a turd if you freeze it first - you just don't have a lot of time to get the job done.
