Things have taken an unexpected turn over the last week, and after three months of negotiation with a potential buyer the sale of the studio has fallen through. It's left me in a hard position as I am in transition towards Europe already. I'm now looking for a really quick sale, and willing to drop down to $150 000 plus GST

The Docking Station Studio Sale
I have decided to sell the equipment from The Docking Station Studios in order to pursue some producing opportunities overseas. I am looking to sell the equipment as a complete package, it’s detailed in the document below.

Please feel free to get in touch with me if there are any questions relating to the equipment or it’s sale.

I also have a second list of additional/optional equipment that you may like to purchase separate to the studio package. This includes Amplifiers, and the Studer A80 Mk ii tape machine, coffee machine and furniture.

Facilities / Lease
The studio is currently located in Moorooka Brisbane in a purpose built facility. (See http://www.stephenbartlettproduction.com for some pictures) It features sound proof and acoustically designed control and recording rooms (inc 3 boths) and a large entertaining space to provide clients a comfortable area to relax.

If required the continuation of the lease could be arranged, however would be separate to the purchase of the equipment.

Condition
The studio is currently booked in use until late august 2012. All handover of equipment would be after this date, unless other arrangements are offered.

All gear has been kept in a professional smoke free studio environment and is is great condition.

Custom Build Circa 1974 Neve 5316 Console. This console came from Neve Custom as an order originally for ESPN in NY, I shipped it to Australia in 2010.

It is an 8 Buss console with 31 channels and 2 Stereo Master Groups. It has 16 * 33114/b Pre/EQ's which are the same Pre/ EQ from the Melbourn Series console and are used in the 1081 Pre/EQ from the 80 Series Desks. It is the largest 53 Series in Australia. Australia's other 53 Series Neve is in Sing Sing Studios in Melbourne. IT is the last of the Modular Neve's, making for cheaper and more effective maintenance that requires no downtime, and after the 80 Series is the most sort after Neve of all time.

The Desk was entirely recapped in 2010 by Jeff Del Bello of NY and is in incredible condition with new leather rest and scribble strip. The Console is wired to have the NEVE comp's installed, should that be desired.

With the Console comes a Custom Metal Frame and specialised Gold Cleaner for the faders. An Ipad Dock, and Gen 1 Ipad has been custom built into the console to allow for apps, like Pro Control to control Pro Tools, Clear Tune for tuning instruments and DB Meter for monitoring the audio level. It also comes with a Henry Engineering Matchbox, and Coleman Line Level Selectors to allow for unbalanced inputs to monitor the same as the desk, IE, listening to an Ipod or Computer at the same level as the mix allowing for excellent referencing.


The Desk also comes with 6 Balanced and Custom wired Bantam TT patch bays. These are the highest quality professional patch bays, needed for any professional recording studio, and are wired to the desk and all required outboard and are fully labeled. It also includes 50 Mogami Bantam TT patch leads of various length and colour, again of the highest quality to ensure longevity and no signal loss.

A Desk of this era is almost impossible to value for new, especially in a condition like this. No desks built today are considered to have the sound that a desk like this does, it truly makes a studio world class.

8 channel 4 buss summing mixer, built by Geoff Tanner. Serial Number 3 this was hand built in USA by GT, the former head of Neve Custom Shop, who worked on the Neve 5316 also for sale. His Design is based heavily on the Neve 8078, the console he considers to be the greatest ever built. Used well in mixing or for tracking drums. Comes with cables for instant insertion into a system at any point.

Bowers and Wilkens 805 Signatures, the famed 800 series designed and used in Abbey Road Studios UK. Matched with a ca 101 Classe' Amp, again designed to match the 805's and used in Abbey Road and many top end studios. Also includes Custom Monitor Stands, Auralex Monitor Separation Pads and top quality cable and connections. (Bi-Wired). The 805s's while currently unavailable retailed as a step up from the 805d's currently available and are considered by many to be the greatest 805 series ever built.

These Speakers are still considered to be some of the best and used in studios around the world.

Complete Hear Technologies Hear Back system with 4 individual headphone monitor amps, a base pack, stands for the amps and assorted cables. ALso includes a CAT5e patch bay enabling the system to be sent to multiple rooms. Can be upgraded to 8 monitor amps without buying a new base. Each amp can power two headphones and has an inbuilt limiter.

It is unlikely to be outdated.

This U87 is considered to be one of the more classic versions of the U87 and wouldn't be directly replaced sonically by a new microphone. Many of these microphones have been in production for over 30 years and will continue to be made well into the future.

A collection of instruments including irreplaceable pedals such as Mesa V Twin and the Rat Vintage 2 which are sort after and no longer in production. Also includes irreplaceable synths (classic synths that are no longer made) and some high end keyboards.

The Fender P Bass is a classic Japanese version from the Mid-Eighties. Especially with instruments a new equivalent is not always an accurate representation of the quality that you are receiving in buying a great instrument, These have been hand selected for recording and are often very desirable versions or releases.

Again Cables are of the highest quality where possible, rather than the cheap ones available on ebay.
