Sound Proof sliding doors

Hey Guys,

We've had to move our new audio mix room construction build forward to this week (aargh !!)

Due to space restrictions we need to have some sort of sliding door between the room and the room next door which is full of noisy equipment that is full of fans.

Does anyone have any idea of anybody who does noise proof sliding doors, or has any solution for a low profile door?

We're even thinking of a large heavy removable "hatch" - it is going to the rear of the rack, so access is only occasional.

Any thoughts, links, pictures?

you mean just usual audio gear fans (power supplies and so on?)
i think any sliding door should be fine to cut out that noise - its not like a bass cab on the other side.

It's next to our machine / server room...

Think about 100 computer fans all blowing all the time...

Low Freq. isn't a problem, but HF is.

I'm assumingthere isn't a door there at the moment so I'd suggest getting a solid core door with appropriate heavy duty sliding track fitted, then where it overlaps the door frame fit rubber seals to eliminate all air gaps.........maybe not a perfect solution but just my two cents worth.

When I was looking for my door seals I saw some sliding door seals here - doorseals.com.au

If needed, have 2 sliding doors, one each side of the wall with seals etc.

I'll let you know how we go - I might take some pics, and before and after noise measurements, and let you know how it all pans out.
