Hi guys,
I have a mate I'd like to help out. He has about 20 reels of audio his dad recorded when my mate and his sister were only very young living in Germany, and just starting to talk (in German). He's now in his 30's (living in western Sydney) and wants to transfer them over to digital to listen to them, and to preserve them. I know there are places you can pay to do this and to restore the audio but I could do this for him if I could just get my hands on a tape machine. It's all on 1/4" tape. Is there anyone out there in the Sydney area that could either lend me a 1/4" tape machine, hire it to me, or point me in the direction of one? I bought one off eBay but it turned out to be beyond repair. Your help would be much appreciated.
