I tried out the Purple MC77 compressor over the last couple of days.......one of the best comps I've used. If any of you guys can't get a URie, try this baby. Unfortunately it will be a while before I buy one, but it's first on my wish list.

Hi Heath

I'm taking the Purple over to Limestone on Monday with:

(1) Purple Audio BIZ
(1) Avedis Audio E27
(1) Avedis Audio R52
(1) Helios Twin Type69

These were sent down from Legacy to try out....we have a week to do it.
The MC77 is a killer, really fast with a coool colour.......you'll want one, maybe don't hear it and save some $$

Yeah hahaha, your probably right. I'm interested in the Biz too as they are quite cheap, I like the idea of having output gain control so can crank the input if an extra grunty sound is needed. The Avedis units, all I can say is I want one of those eq's too, where will it end, aaaarrrrgggghhh. Are you borrowing a stereo pair of E27's for the R52? Will be nice to hear some comments on them once tested out.

So which will stay I wonder?

Haaaha

The Biz and the Avedis is in one box. Call around to Limestone, call Louis first and try them out.
The Avedis is cool but I prefer the API as the Avedis is only 3 band EQ.....OK bottom but nice tops (API bigger bottom)
The Biz is cool, similar to the P-1 with a biggggg boost (TURBO button engaged).
The MC77 is the S.H.I.T man, I reckon it will stay in Sydney.

Hey cool, sounds like a nice one, glad ya found something that suits. The Biz similar to the P1? mmmm nice, I'm still gonna get a p1 first though. Hey thanks for the rundown on the eq too Nick, yeah I think I'll get a pair of Api 550b's too later in the year, I need an eq with some grunty bottom end.

No not really, Louis just gave me a run-down. The problem is the power supply.....for one API 6 slot lunch box you will run 2 x Essence modules. Might as well just get the Buzz SOC
