track down andy stewart and make him an offer he cannot understand
he has two that i bought at an abc auction with him an eternity ago
he has been threatening to sell them for years , because he rarely records nowadays ..
and has boxes of microphones that go unused
the mill is more mix and master then full on recording

but he is always unsure about selling them
just nail him to the wall ,
whisper the current actual sale prices of them ,
listen to him winge about what they use to be worth
and then show him the money ..

they are getting really hard to find nowadays

I think Andy's may have a new home now. Plus they were C-12A, not B. Still the A version is identical but without the 20dB pad. These mics often need work refurbishing the power supply if it hasn't been done in recent years. The tubes are available and quite cheap. The cabling and connectors, especially the integrated mic holder and connector can get a bit dicky.

There is a c12a on eBay located in London for 2000 pounds. Unless someone bid on it. I can also arrange for it to be picked up.

Jeff at A Sharp Studios (Sydney) has a nice pair of these.

No idea if he's open to selling them (my guess would be "no") but at least you know who has some.
