Waves plugins - Pro Tools 5.1 and 10 session compatibility

Hi guys,
I'm having an annoying issue with Waves plugins, had to get some sessions from a studio where they use Pro Tools 5.1 (OS9) to another using Pro Tools 9 and 10, but the Waves plugins don't show up as they were set in the old system. The plugins load fine, they're all there, but they're all set to default. I tried importing presets from the session folder, and even though you see the preset name change, the settings remain as default, they don't change a bit. And that only happens with the Waves stuff, not with Focusrite, McDSP, Bomb Factory, these all work fine. Anyone seen this? Known workarounds?

Protools has had a few breaks in plugin compatibility over the years. I think HD 6 to HD 7 was one of them.

Yeah, heard about that before, but still haven't heard of any fix to that issue. And the annoying thing is it's only happening with Waves (in my case). I've seen a couple users around DUC having similar issues, but no fixes so far. Would really appreciate if someone had a fix!
